Students entering grades 7-9 can take the Camp Invention® program to a whole new level with the Leaders-in-Training (LIT) program! Previously known as Counselor-in-Training (CIT), this program is developed for students, entering grades seven through nine, to gain valuable leadership experience alongside an Instructor and Leadership Intern.
Leaders-in-Training participants will:
Gain real-world experience setting and achieving goals
Become role models — inspiring students in grades K-6 to explore STEM activities
Develop leadership skills in a fun, hands-on environment
Receive program certification and an official recommendation letter

Our next meeting will be Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at 7pm in the VIS Auditorium. We are going to go over the FIRST Robotics programs. Parents and students are welcome. FIRST LEGO League & FIRST LEGO League Jr Winter Session (Jan-March). FIRST robotics programs for 2nd-4th graders. Volunteers are needed to help run this year’s programs. They typically meet 1 evening a week and some Saturday mornings. Please consider sharing your time.
VIS & VPS Chess Clubs: We are currently looking for volunteers to supervise chess club. It only takes a couple hours a month and allows students to play chess with their peers. Meetings have typically been two Wednesdays a month 3:15-4pm, Oct-March. These clubs can only happen when parents volunteer. Please consider sharing your time.
